City of Logan celebrates its everyday legends

The City of Logan is putting the spotlight on the people who make it thrive, with Council launching its search for the next generation of “Logan Legends.”

From sporting champions like Cameron Smith, Corey Parker, Steven Bradbury and Mollie O’Callaghan to music icons Savage Garden and Dami Im, Logan has long produced household names. Now, Council wants to celebrate the quiet achievers whose dedication, kindness and innovation shape the city every day.

Mayor Jon Raven said Logan had often been underestimated but is now a vibrant, multicultural city full of opportunity.

“Logan is like the kid who was picked on in school,” he said. “But that kid grew up, and now Logan is full of legends. We want the world to see what we already know: Logan is powered by its people.”

The initiative will feature a video series profiling residents whose contributions strengthen the community, from volunteers and mentors to cultural leaders, business innovators and everyday heroes whose acts of kindness uplift others.

Residents are invited to nominate local legends who make a meaningful difference.
