Families across the Scenic Rim can look forward to a busy and creative Easter break, with Council unveiling a packed school holiday program featuring free and low-cost activities for all ages.
Run by Scenic Rim Regional Council, the program will see libraries and cultural centres transformed into hubs of activity, offering everything from arts and crafts to circus workshops and family-friendly movies.
A highlight of the program is A Bee Story, an award-winning circus performance at The Centre Beaudesert, combining acrobatics, music and storytelling in a fun, family show.
Children can also take part in hands-on experiences such as LEGO workshops at Vonda Youngman Community Centre, or “Join the Circus for a Day” at the Boonah Cultural Centre.
At local libraries, the “Green Thumbs & Enchanted Gardens” program will introduce kids to nature through storytelling, bug discovery and sustainable gardening activities.
Councillor Kerri Cryer said the program was designed to give families affordable ways to stay active and creative over the holidays.
Residents are encouraged to book early, with strong interest expected across the region.
