The City of Gold Coast has taken a major step forward in delivering a state-of-the-art Gold Coast Arena, a key legacy venue for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. On 16 March 2026, the Council announced that a global consortium, AmplifyGC, has been officially shortlisted to advance the project.
AmplifyGC brings together international and local expertise, including infrastructure giant Plenary Group, live entertainment leader Live Nation, and Australian construction group Built, supported by renowned architectural firms Cox Architecture and 3XN. The consortium will now progress to the Request for Proposal stage, refining design, delivery, and investment options for the arena.
Planned to be located at Carey Park, Southport, the arena will feature 12,000+ seats for major sporting events, concerts, and community activities. Mayor Tom Tate said the project will help position the Gold Coast as a world-class destination while creating jobs and opportunities ahead of the 2032 Games.
