The City of Gold Coast is upgrading two key intersections along Beattie Road at Whitewater Way and Dreamworld Parkway in Coomera to improve road safety and ease congestion. The $5.3 million project is scheduled to run from January to July 2026 and focuses on creating safer conditions for all road users, including drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Works will include the installation of traffic signals at both intersections, a new pedestrian crossing at Dreamworld Parkway, upgraded street lighting, CCTV, improved signage, and new pathway connections to enhance pedestrian access. The road pavement will also be reconstructed with updated line marking to support better traffic management.
During construction, motorists can expect temporary lane closures, detours, and delays, along with some noise, dust, and vibration. Works will be carried out during both day and night shifts, Monday to Friday.
Once completed, the upgrades will significantly improve traffic flow and reduce crash risks in this busy Coomera precinct.
