Police Appeal for Information After Man Found Injured at Broadbeach Waters

Police are appealing for public assistance following the discovery of a seriously injured man at Broadbeach Waters early this morning.

Emergency services were called to Bermuda Street around 6.10am on May 21 after reports a man was lying injured on the ground.

When officers arrived, they located a 36-year-old Murwillumbah man suffering significant head injuries and a broken arm. He was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition, where he remains receiving treatment.

A crime scene was established shortly after 7am while detectives examined the area, before it was later declared safe and closed around 8am.

Detectives from the Gold Coast South Criminal Investigation Branch are now investigating how the man sustained his injuries and are urging anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area to come forward.

Police are particularly seeking dashcam footage, iPhone recordings or any other vision captured around Bermuda Street during the early morning hours.

Investigations remain ongoing, with officers appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist inquiries to contact police.
