Winter Harvest Festival Set to Serve Up Scenic Rim’s Best

The Scenic Rim’s biggest celebration of food, farming and country hospitality is set to return later this month, with the popular Winter Harvest Festival transforming Kalbar into a paddock-to-plate paradise on June 27.

The festival marks the grand finale of Scenic Rim Eat Local Month and will bring together more than 50 local producers, growers, chefs and artisans for a day packed with fresh food, entertainment and hands-on experiences.

Visitors will have the chance to sample seasonal produce, browse market stalls, enjoy cooking demonstrations from renowned chefs and meet the farmers behind some of the region’s finest food and beverages. From artisan cheeses and handcrafted mead to fresh vegetables, preserves and gourmet treats, the festival promises something for every taste.

Crowd favourites including the famous Tractor Pull, carrot tossing competition and Moffatt Fresh Produce’s carrot ice cream will return, while new attractions and workshops will offer fresh experiences for festival-goers.

Scenic Rim Mayor Tom Sharp said the event celebrates the region’s rich agricultural heritage and growing reputation as one of Australia’s premier food destinations.

“The Winter Harvest Festival brings together our growers, producers and flavour-makers in a superb celebration of everything that makes the Scenic Rim special,” he said.

The festivities will continue into the evening with the Harvest Hoedown featuring live country music and dancing, while visitors can extend their stay with farm tours, produce-picking experiences and vineyard tastings across the weekend.

The festival is expected to attract thousands of visitors and provide a major boost to local businesses while showcasing the Scenic Rim’s award-winning food tourism industry.
