Country music, smoky barbecue and family entertainment will take centre stage when the Flame BBQ & Music Festival returns to Jimboomba Park this September.
The popular one-day event promises more than four hours of live country music, headlined by Brisbane favourites The Wet Whistles alongside Jimboomba local and returning festival performer Jake Whittaker. A lineup of emerging artists will also take to the stage throughout the day.
Food lovers can indulge in a wide variety of barbecue, with pitmasters serving everything from slow-smoked meats and premium flame-grilled favourites to Korean-inspired dishes and other smoky specialties.
Festival-goers can also browse local market stalls, admire a display of vintage vehicles, enjoy line dancing, carnival rides and activities, and relax in the licensed beer garden while soaking up the country atmosphere. Competitive eaters can even test their skills in amateur and professional barbecue eating competitions for the chance to win cash prizes.
Organisers have released a limited number of early-bird tickets, priced at just $15 for adults until 11.59pm on July 23. Entry for children is free, with unlimited access to rides included for those under 18.
The annual festival is expected to attract visitors from across the region, celebrating country music, great food and community spirit in the heart of Jimboomba.
