Council Grants Deliver Boost for Redlands Community Projects

More than $481,000 has been awarded to support 42 community projects and events across Redlands Coast over the past six months through Redland City Council’s grants program.

Acting Mayor Julie Talty said the funding, delivered through six grant streams since January, helps strengthen local communities by supporting events, services and initiatives that benefit residents of all ages and abilities.

“Council’s grants program helps the community deliver projects that enhance the vibrancy of our region while fostering connection, pride and inclusion,” Cr Talty said.

Funding ranges from $500 rapid response grants for urgent community needs through to grants of up to $60,000 for large-scale, multi-year signature events.

Cr Talty said the supported projects contribute to improving community facilities, services, programs and local events, while aligning with Council’s Corporate Plan to build stronger and more connected communities.

Applications for the 2026–27 grants program are now opening across several funding categories, including Signature Events Attraction and Retention, Rapid Response, Community Celebration, Community Support, Build and Thrive and Events grants.

The Signature Events Attraction and Retention Fund and Rapid Response Grants opened on July 6, while Community Celebration Grants open from July 13. Further funding rounds will continue throughout the financial year.

Details of successful grant recipients, eligibility requirements and application dates are available on Redland City Council’s website.
