Ben Matthews Playground Community Centre

Ben Matthews Playground has transformed into a Seniors Health & Wellbeing Centre!

Ben Matthews Playground is the home to Amputees Queensland who have received funding through Brisbane South PHN to run FREE programs for seniors in the community through their Healthy Ageing Hub.  The fortnightly information sessions and weekly exercise programs have been a hit with the community.

Amputees Queensland also run a program which brings seniors from the community to volunteer at a local play group, to play and engaged with children and their families, share wisdom and also learn new things.  This program helps our amazing seniors connect with their community and make new friends, young and old!  Session run for 1 to 2 hours and include a lovely morning tea as well as transport if required. If you would like more information or to join our team of friendly volunteers, once a week or fortnightly please contact Lynda on 3290 4293 or email lynda@afsg.org.au for more information.

All the programs running at Ben Matthews Playground Community Centre are open to the public and are completely FREE unless otherwise stated.  We encourage the whole community to come along and join in the fun.
