Teen Critical After Eagleby Motorcycle Crash

Two people remain in hospital following a serious motorcycle crash involving several parked vehicles in Eagleby overnight.

Police say preliminary investigations indicate the motorcycle was travelling west along River Hills Road about 9.15pm on May 6 when it collided with the rear of a parked sedan before striking two additional parked cars.

A 16-year-old boy suffered critical injuries and was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital, while a 28-year-old man was also taken to hospital for treatment.

Both males were travelling on the motorcycle at the time of the crash.

Investigators are still working to determine who was riding the motorbike and the exact circumstances leading up to the incident.

Police are appealing for anyone with dashcam footage or information relating to the crash to come forward as investigations continue.

The incident comes as Queensland Police continue to highlight the dangers of risky behaviour on the roads, warning that speeding, distraction, fatigue and impaired driving continue to contribute to serious crashes across the state.

Authorities said every decision made behind the wheel can have life-changing consequences, with officers continuing enforcement operations across Queensland in an effort to reduce the road toll.
