Work begins on new clubhouse for Eagleby Croquet Club

Construction has begun on a new clubhouse for the Twin Rivers Community Mallet Sports Club at Bedford Park in Eagleby, marking a major milestone for the growing club.

Delivered by Logan City Council and supported by the Queensland Government, the project will provide the club with its first permanent home since forming in 2010.

The new facility will include a meeting room, kitchenette and accessible amenities, replacing the current setup of courts and a basic storage shed.

Mayor Jon Raven said the development would strengthen community sport and provide a space for locals to connect, stay active and grow participation.

Division 12 Councillor Karen Murphy added the clubhouse would support increased membership and allow the club to host larger events, including interstate tournaments.

With more than $82,000 in State Government funding, the project aims to create an inclusive, welcoming space for all ages and abilities.

Construction is expected to be completed later this year.
