Logan residents with busy work and family commitments now have more opportunities to stay active, with Logan City Council expanding its popular Active & Healthy Program to include more after-hours and weekend sessions.
The updated program offers more than 120 free and low-cost activities designed to help people of all ages and abilities improve their physical and mental wellbeing while learning new skills.
Participants can choose from a wide variety of activities, including swimming, dancing, cooking, stretching and running, with Council working closely with local providers to make sessions more accessible for those unable to attend during traditional weekday hours.
Council has also introduced Bookable, a new online booking system that allows participants to browse activities, make bookings and manage their schedules in one place. While many activities can now be booked online, some continue to use phone, email or provider-specific booking systems.
Residents are reminded to register before attending activities and to bring essentials such as enclosed shoes, a water bottle, suitable clothing and sun protection for outdoor sessions.
The Active & Healthy Program aims to encourage healthier lifestyles, strengthen community connections and make regular exercise easier to fit into everyday life.
For activity listings, booking information and program details, residents can visit the Logan City Council website and search for “Active & Healthy.”
