British pop star Ed Sheeran delivered a surprise moment for fans during the opening night of his Brisbane shows, performing an impromptu gender reveal live on stage. The special moment took place on Friday, 20 February 2026, at Suncorp Stadium, as part of the first of three sold-out concerts.
Midway through the show, a Bundaberg couple, Jessie and Khyer, managed to pass Sheeran an unopened envelope after reportedly lining up for seven hours to secure their chance. The singer opened it in front of the 60,000-strong crowd and revealed the news with a smile: “It’s a boy!”
