Community leaders have come together in Logan to launch an Australian-first health and wellbeing initiative aimed at improving quality of life in the region. The new program, valued at up to $3 million, is part of the “Feel Good Futures”partnership and will focus on supporting local families with better access to healthy food, physical activity and overall wellness opportunities.
The funding will be rolled out over the next three years and involves collaboration with grassroots groups and community organisations. Logan continues to be one of Queensland’s fastest-growing regions, with resident numbers expected to exceed 500,000 in the coming decade.
Local advocates say the program aims to tackle long-standing challenges such as food insecurity and limited opportunities for active lifestyles, helping children and adults alike lead healthier, happier lives closer to home.
The Feel Good Futures initiative highlights the importance of community-driven solutions for wellbeing and reflects Logan’s commitment to supporting strong, healthy families now and into the future.
