Logan resident Gail Harrower has been recognised for her decades of selfless service with the Mayor’s Excellence Award at this year’s City of Logan People’s Excellence Awards. Gail has spent years supporting vulnerable residents, including seniors, through her work in palliative care at Logan Hospital and by organising events to improve the wellbeing of patients and the wider community.
Mayor Jon Raven praised Gail’s dedication, saying, “The incredible efforts of volunteers like Gail strengthen our community, bring people together, and make a real difference in the lives of our older residents and those in need.”
Gail’s commitment has also extended to helping older community members feel connected, supported, and valued, highlighting the vital role volunteers play in promoting health, happiness, and social inclusion.
