Major Construction Phase Begins for New Coomera Hospital

The Queensland Government has confirmed that the new Coomera Hospital will enter a major construction phase in 2026, following completion of an updated masterplan. This state-of-the-art facility is part of the Hospital Rescue Planand aims to meet the growing healthcare needs of the northern Gold Coast community, covering areas from Pimpama to Coomera and surrounding suburbs.

Once completed, the hospital will provide critical services including emergency care, surgical procedures, and inpatient treatment, allowing residents to access vital healthcare closer to home. The development is also expected to create numerous local jobs during construction and upon opening, supporting the region’s economy.

Health officials emphasise that the new hospital is designed with modern infrastructure, patient-focused facilities, and future growth in mind, ensuring it can serve the community for decades to come. The project highlights the government’s commitment to improving accessible, high-quality healthcare for the rapidly expanding northern Gold Coast population.
