Supporting Seniors Across the Northern Gold Coast

Seniors in the northern Gold Coast and Logan regions are being offered more ways to stay active, connected, and supported through a range of programs and services provided by local councils and the Queensland Government.

Logan City Council runs initiatives such as social groups, transport assistance, digital skills workshops, and events like Logan Loves Seniors Day, which help older residents engage with the community and develop confidence online. Meanwhile, Gold Coast City Council supports seniors through its “Active & Healthy” program, offering tailored activities, inclusive events, in-home support, and access to in-home library services for those with limited mobility.

At the state level, seniors can access health services, aged care pathways, transport concessions, and retirement planning advice through Queensland Government programs, helping them remain independent while staying connected to family, friends, and their local community.

These initiatives highlight a commitment to ensuring that seniors in Yatala, Pimpama, Coomera, Nerang, Runaway Bay, Paradise Point and surrounding suburbs enjoy a safe, active, and fulfilling lifestyle.
