Man injured in Munruben shooting as police investigate

A man has been hospitalised following a shooting at Munruben, south of Logan, with police continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Emergency services were called to a property on Norris Creek Road about 8.30pm on Tuesday, June 2, after reports that a man had been shot.

Police attended the scene and secured the property before taking a 30-year-old man into custody for questioning. He was later released without charge as investigations continued.

The victim, a 42-year-old man, sustained injuries that police described as non-life-threatening. He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital for treatment.

Investigators have not released further details about the circumstances leading up to the shooting and no charges have been laid at this stage.

Police are appealing for anyone with information that may assist the investigation to come forward.

The incident remains under investigation and authorities have indicated that further information will be released as inquiries progress.
