New Contemporary Art Space Opens in Beenleigh

A new creative hub has opened in Beenleigh, with the City of Logan unveiling The Line & Rail Artspace as its latest contemporary exhibition space.

Located on the ground floor of Logan Water’s building on York Street, the venue officially launches with its inaugural exhibition In Motion, opening on Saturday, May 2. The exhibition showcases works from a diverse group of Logan artists, including April Giblin, Alexandra Feu’u, Aliena McKenzie, Chloe Wigg, Madhu Khanna, Panayiota and Pamela See.

In Motion explores themes of movement, transition and connection, reflecting both the location of the gallery and the evolving identity of the region. The exhibition invites visitors to consider how people, culture and ideas flow through communities over time.

The Line & Rail Artspace is supported by the Regional Arts Development Fund, a partnership between the Queensland Government and Logan City Council aimed at strengthening local arts and culture.

The gallery will be open Thursday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm, with entry via John Lane. The exhibition runs until May 23, with free admission for visitors.
