Police Declare Crime Scene After Woodridge House Fire

Emergency services have responded to a house fire in Woodridge, with the scene now officially treated as a crime scene as investigations continue. Around 3 am on Thursday 19 February, firefighters were called to a blaze at a single-level home on Station Road in Logan’s Woodridge suburb after smoke and flames were reported by neighbours.

Fire crews quickly contained the fire, bringing it under control by 3.30 am and completely extinguishing it by 5.15 am. Ambulance officers confirmed that no one at the property required medical treatment, with all occupants accounted for and uninjured.

Following the fire, police cordoned off the area and declared it a crime scene while investigators work to determine the cause, though authorities have not yet confirmed whether arson or any foul play is involved.

Fire and Rescue crews and Queensland Police are urging anyone with information or dashcam footage from Station Road in Woodridge early on the morning of 19 February to contact them as the inquiry continues.
