Older residents across Logan are being encouraged to stay active and connected through the latest Logan City Council Active & Healthy program, refreshed for 2025–26 with a wide range of activities across the city.
The program now features more than 200 free or low-cost activities, including walking groups, aqua fitness, yoga and low-impact sessions suitable for people of all ages. Many are particularly popular with seniors looking for gentle ways to stay fit while enjoying social interaction.
Specialised classes such as Seniors Functional Fitness focus on improving strength, balance and mobility, helping older residents maintain independence and confidence. Sessions are held in parks, leisure centres and community venues throughout Logan, making them easily accessible.
Council says the program supports both physical wellbeing and social connection, helping older residents remain active members of their community.
