Excitement Building as Waterford West District Park Takes Shape

Construction on Logan’s future district park at Waterford West is progressing well, with the project now entering an exciting new stage.

After months of major earthworks, residents will soon begin to see visible progress as new structures, playground equipment and pathways start appearing above ground. The transformation marks a significant milestone in the development of the area’s newest large-scale community park.

The $27 million project is being delivered by Logan City Council with funding support from the Australian and Queensland governments through the SEQ Liveability Fund, part of the broader SEQ City Deal.

Once completed, the six-hectare park will offer a range of family-friendly features, including a water play zone, a large adventure playground, picnic and barbecue facilities, walking paths and modern community amenities.

Council says the project remains on schedule, with completion expected later this year, weather permitting.

The new district park is designed to create a vibrant outdoor space where families can gather, children can play and the community can enjoy nature close to home.

Residents interested in following the project’s progress can subscribe for updates via the council’s online project page.
