Two teenagers killed in Greenbank e-bike crash

Two teenagers have died following a crash involving an e-bike and a motorcycle at Greenbank on Thursday night.

Police said the collision occurred around 9pm on Middle Road when a Harley-Davidson motorcycle, travelling along the road, attempted to overtake another vehicle and collided with an e-bike travelling in the opposite direction.

A teenage boy and teenage girl riding the e-bike were both declared dead at the scene.

Initial investigations suggest the e-bike did not have its headlights on at the time of the crash, however the circumstances surrounding the incident remain under investigation.

The rider of the motorcycle, an adult male, was transported to Princess Alexandra Hospital with serious but stable injuries.

The investigation is being led by the Queensland Police Service Forensic Crash Unit, which is working to determine the exact circumstances that led to the collision.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has relevant dashcam or CCTV footage from the area at the time to contact authorities as investigations continue.
